I Iike to kick off Sunday nights with inspiration for the week ahead. ✨ Most of us hate Mondays but it also symbolizes a new beginning, and that's exciting!! Take Rachel, who over the course of 15 months, lost 100 lbs!!! You think she never fell off track or indulged too much or got down on herself?? Of course she did, but here's the thing. You can start again ANYTIME you decide to. And that doesn't need to be January after you've eaten your way through December and fallen into a sugar coma that's left your pants no longer fitting. 😬 Because what Rachel shows us is that this is about daily, minute by minute resolutions. Those small decisions you make every day. NOT the yearly resolution that is abandoned by March. The question is, what do you really want for your life? How do you want to FEEL?
If you're waiting until after the holidays because you are afraid of failure, I encourage you to switch up your perspective a little. What if, by just committing to ONE healthy change right NOW, you considered yourself SUCCESSFUL? If you truly want a healthier, happier you, then you must recognize that it is a journey, not a destination. Sure, that sounds cliche, but it's true. I used to stop eating healthy & working out as soon as I reached my goal weight, because I had reached my destination. It wasn't until I started thinking about it as a lifelong journey that I finally kept my results.
On this lifelong journey there will be many holidays, birthday parties, busy work weeks, kids activities, family issues, etc... I personally think starting right NOW, in the month of December, is a perfect opportunity to start learning how to balance these things. It's not about perfect timing, it's about moving forward every single day and re-starting, if you need to, anytime you decide.
Including Mondays. 😉 My next challenge starts Dec 12 and I want you in it. We work on starting. Building habits. Making healthy, delicious food you love to eat. Working out doing FUN workouts, challenging yourself, realizing you can do more than you thought, and LOVING that. 😊 All with the most supportive, encouraging, and positive community cheering you on every step of the way.
